These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Playvo platform, website, and services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account or accepting a booking through the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Effective date: 20 April 2026. These Terms are a legal agreement between you and Playvo Pakistan (“Playvo”, “we”, or “us”), a business operating from Lahore, Pakistan.
1. Definitions
- Business — the person or entity that creates a booking page on Playvo and sells services, slots, or appointments.
- Customer— the end user who books and pays for a service through a Business's Playvo page.
- Booking — a confirmed appointment, slot, or event created through the Service.
- PayFast — APPS Technologies (Pvt.) Ltd., the third-party payment gateway that processes card, wallet, and Raast payments on our behalf.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract in Pakistan to use the Service. By creating a Business account you represent that all information you provide is accurate, that you have authority to bind your business, and that your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws.
3. Your account
We use phone number + one-time password (OTP) authentication. You are responsible for keeping your phone and any verification codes secure. You must notify us immediately at [email protected] of any unauthorized access.
Each Business may operate one (1) Playvo account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that we determine, at our sole discretion, are duplicates, fraudulent, or in violation of these Terms.
4. Our role — we are a platform, not the merchant
Playvo provides software that lets Businesses list services and accept bookings and payments. The contract for any service booked through the Service is directly between the Business and the Customer. Playvo is not a party to that contract. We do not own, manage, operate, inspect, or deliver the services sold through Playvo pages.
5. Fees and payouts
Playvo does not currently charge a platform commission on bookings. PayFast's payment-gateway fees (approximately 2.4%–3.5% + tax, depending on card/wallet) are deducted from each transaction at the time of settlement. Fees are set by PayFast and may change. Payout timing: Funds for successful bookings are settled by PayFast to your registered bank account, EasyPaisa, or JazzCash wallet typically within 2–3 working days of the transaction, subject to PayFast's settlement schedule and bank processing times. Weekends and Pakistani public holidays may extend this window.
You are solely responsible for providing accurate payout details and for any income, sales, or other taxes that apply to your earnings.
6. Business obligations
When a Customer pays for a booking, you are contractually obligated to honour it.
- You must provide the booked service at the booked time. Bookings are binding commitments to your Customer.
- If you cancel a confirmed booking for any reason, you are responsible for refunding the Customer in full, yourself. Playvo does not process business-initiated refunds on your behalf. You may refund via bank transfer, EasyPaisa, JazzCash, or any method you and the Customer agree on.
- Keep your availability, pricing, and service descriptions accurate. Advertising slots you cannot fulfill is prohibited.
- Respond to Customer messages in a timely manner. Repeated failure to honour bookings may result in account suspension.
- Do not list services that are illegal under Pakistani law, infringe third-party rights, or violate our acceptable-use rules.
7. Refunds, disputes, and chargebacks
Refund policy is set by the Business. By default, all Customer payments are final once the booking is confirmed. Businesses may offer more generous refund terms on their page.
If a Business cancels a confirmed booking, the Customer is entitled to a full refund from the Business within 7 working days of the cancellation.
If a Customer initiates a chargeback or dispute through their bank or PayFast, the Business authorises Playvo and PayFast to deduct the disputed amount, plus any applicable dispute fees, from future payouts or request repayment directly. Businesses are expected to cooperate in responding to disputes.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Sell anything illegal under Pakistani law, including but not limited to: prohibited substances, counterfeit goods, or services that violate Pakistan Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) 2016.
- Impersonate another person, business, or brand.
- Process payments for goods or services that are not actually being delivered (i.e. money-laundering or front-running PayFast's merchant screening).
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
- Collect or store Customer personal data outside what is required to fulfill the booking.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice, and will cooperate with Pakistani law enforcement where legally required.
9. Customer terms
If you are a Customer booking through a Business's Playvo page:
- Your contract for the service is with the Business, not with Playvo.
- Provide accurate contact and payment details. Payment is processed by PayFast Pakistan under their own terms.
- Refund, cancellation, and no-show policies are set by the Business. Contact the Business directly to arrange a refund or reschedule.
- If a Business fails to honour a booking, contact them first. If unresolved, you can contact [email protected] and we will attempt to mediate in good faith, but Playvo is not liable for the Business's actions.
10. Data & privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with (including PayFast and Supabase).
11. Intellectual property
Playvo, the Playvo logo, brand marks, and platform code are our intellectual property. You may not use them without written permission. Content you upload (business name, bio, logo, service descriptions) remains yours — you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty- free licence to display that content on the Service for the purpose of running your booking page.
12. Termination
You may close your account at any time by emailing [email protected]. We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, extended inactivity, or if required by law. Confirmed bookings at the time of termination must still be honoured or refunded.
13. Disclaimer & limitation of liability
The Service is provided on an “as is” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by Pakistani law, Playvo disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted availability, and non-infringement.
Playvo's total liability to you, in aggregate, for all claims arising from or related to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the fees Playvo has received from you in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) PKR 10,000. We are not liable for lost profits, loss of goodwill, or indirect / consequential damages.
14. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Any dispute arising out of or relating to the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or an in-app banner at least 7 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
