Refund policy

When money goes back.

Playvo is a platform that lets Businesses take bookings and payments; the contract for each booking is between the Business and the Customer. This policy explains when and how refunds happen on Playvo.

1. Default refund policy

All confirmed bookings are final unless the Business explicitly offers a more generous refund policy on their page.

2. If the Business cancels

When a Business cancels a confirmed booking, they are required to refund the Customer in full within 7 working days.

Playvo does not automatically reverse payments. The Business must process the refund themselves via bank transfer, EasyPaisa, JazzCash, or any mutually agreed method. Businesses that repeatedly cancel and fail to refund may have their Playvo account suspended.

3. If the Customer cancels

The default is no refund once a booking is confirmed. Some Businesses offer partial or full refunds if cancelled a certain number of hours in advance — this is shown on the Business's booking page. Customers should contact the Business directly to request a refund.

4. No-show

If a Customer does not show up for a confirmed booking, the Business keeps the payment. Businesses may mark the booking as “No-show” in the dashboard for their records.

5. Payment-gateway timelines

  • Payouts to Businesses:approximately 2–3 working days after a successful booking, via PayFast's settlement schedule, subject to weekends and Pakistani public holidays.
  • Refunds to Customers:once the Business initiates a refund, it typically takes 5–10 working days to appear on the Customer's card or wallet. Timing is controlled by the issuing bank, not Playvo.

6. Disputes and chargebacks

If a Customer cannot reach the Business or feels a refund is owed but unpaid, they can:

  • Email [email protected] with the booking reference and we will mediate in good faith.
  • Open a dispute with their card issuer or PayFast directly. Chargeback amounts and fees will be deducted from the Business's future payouts per our Terms.
